Super Tuesday is the perfect day to get your bank roll up. The Beat the Spread Column has taken a short break, but we are back to make you guys money. We are hoping for a 3-0 day as we try to hit this 3-team perfect parlay. We were 28-24-6 over the course of football season and we are looking to get our bankroll up for March. Here’s our 3 picks for tonight’s slate.

Butler (-11): vs Georgetown: Patrick Ewing just got his first significant victory as a Division-1 college basketball coach after his Hoyas defeated Seton Hall at home 83-80. The Hoyas do not have much time to relish the victory as they travel to Indiana to face Butler. Georgetown has been an inconsistent team during Patrick Ewing’s first season as the head coach. Butler has dominated the lower tier teams in the Big East, averaging a 20.1 victory margin during their 6 conference wins. Butler is 4-1 against the spread in their last 5 home games. The Bulldogs rank in the top 40 in both offensive and defensive efficiency. Play it safe and take the Bulldogs to cover the double digit number at home.

#21 Oklahoma +7.5 @ #7 Texas Tech: The Red Raiders have been one of the pleasant surprises of the college basketball season. Texas Tech is the current front runner to win the BIG 12, and they have done it by dominating on the defensive end of the court. The Raiders rank 3rd in overall defensive efficiency and 8th in effective field goal percentage. The matchup between Oklahoma Sooners Trae Young, who averages 29.5 points and 10 assists, should be great to watch. Young is both dynamic and efficient. Young is one of three players in college basketball history to have a usage rate of 35 and to have a true shooting percentage of 60. Since 2013, Oklahoma is 11-3 ATS on the road against top 15 opponents, covering by an average margin of 7.9 points. Head coach Lon Kruger is 11-4-1 ATS as an underdog against top 10 teams. Oklahoma beat Texas Tech by double digits in Norman when Young scored 22 points in the second half. This game should go down to the wire and the Sooners should cover fairly easily.

Nebraska (-2) vs Maryland: The Cornhuskers have a winning record in the Big Ten for the first time since joining the conference. The Huskers need to continue winning to build their resume for the NCAA tournament. This is going to be confusing since our ATS picks article recommended backing Maryland; But I’m here to save you all from making this mistake. Nebraska has been on a roll, riding an 5-game winning streak and winning eight in a row at home. The Huskers play an physical style of basketball, playing tough defense and crashing the boards. These types of teams have given Maryland trouble all year. The Huskers are 19-6 ATS and 7-2 as a home favorite. Expect the Huskers to cover the number fairly easily.
