Another week of college football, another week to have some chaos. While Auburn couldn’t quite come through for us last week, both Oklahoma and Oregon did in a BIG way. Oklahoma has firmly put themselves into the playoff conversation, where they may have fallen out of with a loss, while Ohio State now has to battle the rest of the Big Ten East pack without suffering another loss to stay in it. On the other side of the country, there is talk about Oregon being back to national relevance after just two games. Hopefully #TeamChaos can provide us with some action again this week.

Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Missouri, and Tennessee

The SEC East has the potential to get straight up WEIRD. If the upper division teams like Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida can get pulled back to the pack and everyone else at the bottom keeps winning, there’s potential for at least a five team battle at the top. At this point I’m just rooting for this division to be a mess to see who gets to lose to Bama in Atlanta.

Mississippi State OR LSU

Not to stick with the SEC too much, but this one is kind of a “choose your own adventure”. If LSU pulls off this win on the road and shuts down Nick Fitzgerald, I think it shows they are a legitimate contender in the West. On the flip side, if the Bulldogs win, Fitzgerald could enter the Heisman race and put MSU back into the national spotlight. Either outcome of this game would be a pretty fun time.

Texas vs #4 USC

TEXAS IS BACK. Well, not yet, but if they somehow won this game the media would go crazy. USC would be pulled back to the pack and have to compete with the likes of Colorado and UCLA to even win the Pac 12 South while Texas would get a marquee win and a ton of time on ESPN. Not the most exciting outcomes, but would certainly set up some storylines.

#14 Louisville vs #3 Clemson

This one seems obvious, but come on, how can I not pick Louisville here? Similar to last week’s Oklahoma win, this would all but clear a path fro Louisville to likely win the ACC Championship and, more importantly, become a title contender. Plus, who doesn’t want to see Lamar Jackson in the playoffs? That’s must watch TV and I’m all in on that.
