Dallas Cowboys: B+

Starter: Dak Prescott: If you had to describe Dak Prescott in one word, it’d be consistent. He’s had one season under 3,300 passing yards and that was when he broke his ankle. In 2021, Prescott was 7th in the league with 4,449 passing yards and was 4th with 37 touchdowns. While losing Amari Cooper isn’t great for Prescott, he still has Lamb, Schultz, and Gallup to get the ball to.

Philadelphia Eagles: C

Starter: Jalen Hurts: While Jalen Hurts isn’t the most talented quarterback when it comes to passing, he makes up for it with his legs. He rushed for 784 yards in 2021 to go with 3,144 passing yards. I think that Hurts will take a step as a passer in 2022 because the weapons around him are more developed. A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert are great pieces for Hurts and we could see him get over 3,500 passing yards this season.

Washington Commanders: C+

Starter: Carson Wentz: There is no predicting how the Wentz experience will go in Washington. He could get injured again, underachieve and throw 25 picks, or throw for over 4,000 yards and lead the Commanders to the playoffs. There really is no telling what will happen. Washington hasn’t had a solidified starter since 2017 and now they may have their man.

New York Giants: D

Starter: Daniel Jones: What needs to be said about Daniel Jones? He’s just not very good and the Giants are holding onto him for dear life. Prepare to be disappointed Giants fans.

Minnesota Vikings: B+

Starter: Kirk Cousins: Cousins has got to be the most underrated quarterback in the league. In his 4 years with the Vikings, he’s thrown for over 3,600 yards and 25 touchdowns. With Justin Jefferson becoming one of the league’s best wideouts and Irv Smith returning, Cousins should be able to throw all over the NFC.

Chicago Bears: C+

Starter: Justin Fields: Rarely do I feel bad for a Bears player, but I feel bad for Fields. He’s a very talented dual threat quarterback that doesn’t have anyone around him. The Bears QB situation isn’t the issue in the Windy City, it’s everyone else around him.

Green Bay Packers: A+

Starter: Aaron Rodgers: The reining MVP deserves an A+ grade. He rarely turns the ball over and is efficient in the red zone. On his way to winning MVP last season, he passed for 4,115 yards, 37 touchdowns, and only 4 interceptions. Losing Adams sucks, but Rodgers has made it work over his career with minimal weapons.

Detroit Lions: C-

Starter: Jared Goff: I was shocked that Detroit didn’t draft a quarterback in this years draft, but I guess they have faith in Goff. Personally, I think his best days are behind him… Way behind him. Detroit has built a tough and youthful squad that won’t be successful until Jared Goff is out of the Motor City.

Atlanta Falcons: C

Starters: Desmond Ridder, Marcus Mariota: I am excited for this quarterback battle; extremely excited. Desmond Ridder was a successful college QB that has decent arm strength and good mobility while Mariota is about the same, but has more experience. This season is definitely a rebuilding year for the Falcons and whoever they have at QB will be looking to build towards a fruitful 2023.

Carolina Panthers: C-

Starters: Sam Darnold, Matt Corral: Sam Darnold has been below average ever since entering the league, but he definitely has a leg up on Matt Corral in their quarterback competition. Darnold isn’t the most accurate, nor does he have great mobility, but he does have some experience and has a year with the current Panther receivers under his belt.

New Orleans Saints: C+

Starters: Jameis Winston, Andy Dalton: While the starting QB job in Nola feels like Winstons job to lose, there will be a slight competition between him and Dalton. With Winston returning from injury, it’s uncertain how good he’ll be, but I’m confident in his ability. A good thing about him is that he takes risks as a passer; but a bad thing about him is that he takes risks as a passer.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: A

Starter: Tom Brady: Tom Brady is HIM. He’s the GOAT and felt that he had a lot left in the tank to come back for another season. In 2021, he passed for 5,316 yards and 43 touchdowns at 44 years old. It looks like the old man is far from declining and could play another five seasons.

Seattle Seahawks: D-

Starters: Geno Smith, Drew Lock: Shield your eyes Seahawks fans; you guys have a top 7 receiving duo and a cavalcade of running backs that’s going to be wasted by either Geno Smith or Drew Lock. Picking between these two is like deciding if you’d rather have your left leg or right leg broken.

Arizona Cardinals: A-

Starter: Kyler Murray: When ranking dual threat QBs in the NFL, it’s almost a 1A, 1B scenario between Murray and Jackson. In Murrays small frame, he has a bazooka of an arm and the addition of Hollywood Brown to go with Ertz, Hopkins (when he comes back from suspension), and James Connor will be electric.

San Francisco 49ers: C+

Starter: Jimmy Garoppolo: Reports came out of the Niners camp that Lance wasn’t competing for a starting roll so it’s Garoppolo’s job for the foreseeable future. Personally, I think that Lance has a stronger arm, but Garoppolo is better at the small things; he’s more accurate, hit’s receivers better in stride, and is a better game manager.

Los Angeles Rams: A

Starter: Matt Stafford: Coming off the year Stafford had with the weapons he has, there is a good chance he wins MVP. At 34 years old, it doesn’t appear that Stafford has lost a step. His massive arm coupled with pin point accuracy makes him one of the league’s best.
