2019 Record and Finish:

Green Bay Packers

Last season the Green Bay Packers finished an outstanding 13-3. This was good enough for 1st in the NFC North Division. The team got past the divisional round against the Seattle before dealing with a frustrating loss in the Conference Championship against the San Francisco 49ers. A shaky second quarter from the defense allowed the 49ers to score 20 points. The 49ers strong defensive efforts kept the Packers scoreless through the first half of the game. With most of the team’s starters returning for a season in which the nation is dealing with COVID-19, the Packers will hope to return to the playoffs with some unfinished business to take of in 2020.

Green Bay Packers Season Outlook:

After finishing off an impressive season in 2019 coming up close to advancing to the Super Bowl, which would’ve been their 14th appearance. They will look to repeat the same success with most of their star studded roster returning with some slight regression in terms of age. The biggest question will be the legacy of Aaron Rodgers and how much more he has willing to give the organization in terms of production this season.

Green Bay Packers

If the Packers want Rodgers to perform to best of his capabilities, then the offensive line needs to back him up and protect him. Last season, Rodgers was sacked 36 times for total yardage loss of 284 which is lot of ground that the team has to eventually make up for. One of those players that can help that is left tackle David Bakhtiari, who alone only allowed 14 total sacks last season and is a four-time All-Pro which definitely gives him recognition in terms of his skill set.

Green Bay Packers Win Total (Over/Under):

With no preseason to get the team more acquainted with their opponents and gauge their roster better, it is tougher for predictions to happen without some in-depth research. Nonetheless, the Packers should be able to repeat on last seasons success and return to the playoffs once again, hopefully to redeem themselves and get to another Super Bowl. If you want to play it safe, then having them at over 8.5 wins would be respectable due to the talent they still have.

If you’re feeling a little more risky than usual and really trust their offense with one of the greatest quarterbacks in the game in Aaron Rodgers then having them at over 9 wins would also be in your favor. They certainly have the talent to get back to where they were, however, one question is remaining within the Packers system which is what is to become of rookie quarterback Jordan Love?

Jordan Love is the quarterback that the Packers took with their first pick in the 2020 NFL draft. Love certainly has the talent to be the up and coming quarterback of the Packers, should he develop right and learn the game. Having Aaron Rodgers become your mentor won’t be so bad either, as so far the word from Packers camp is that their relationship has been good so far. Depending on how the season starts to shape up for the Packers, then you may see Love getting more playing time which he’ll definitely need in order to get experience.

Fantasy Player to Watch:

Green Bay Packers

One of the players to watch from the Green Bay Packers for Fantasy is wide receiver Davante Adams, who was having a stellar season before suffering a toe injury and missed four games. However, in the time he did play Adams performed well, having 83 catches for 997 yards and had 5 touchdowns with those numbers. In 2018, his numbers were even better as he made 111 catches for 1,386 yards and 13 touchdowns, clearly showing that the four games that he missed mattered.

Another player to watch for Fantasy is the already mentioned talented quarterback Aaron Rodgers. There is no doubt that Rodgers will be seeing the Hall of Fame at the end of his career… Which will be the highlight of everything he’s accomplished. With that, adding more yardage never hurt and getting your team to another Super Bowl only adds to the resume. Rodgers certainly had great numbers last year as he went 353 for 569 in passing attempts which ended up totaling 4,002 yards, he also had 26 touchdowns and rushed for 183 yards which gave him a touchdown as well. Watching him play when the game is on the line is like watching a surgeon performing surgery as he’s the quarterback you can trust with getting the job done when the game is close and making the pass plays your team needs.

The last player that should be on your watch list is the other Aaron from the Packers, running back Aaron Jones. Jones had 236 rushes which totaled for 1,084 yards and converted those for 16 touchdowns. He’s also showed he can come up when receiving the ball on a passing play as he had 49 catches that totaled for 474 yards. He converted 3 of those catches for touchdowns. He’ll want to produce the best numbers possible as he is in a contract year. Should he remain healthy throughout the season, there should be no worry for having him start on your team.
