On National Signing Day 2019, Ole Miss was able to come away with one of the top players in the state of Mississippi. Jerrion Ealy of Jackson Prep is a four-star prospect, ranked 58th in the country by Rivals. At 5’9” and 195 pounds, he is listed as an athlete by Rivals, but runningback by ESPN.
Jerrion Ealy racked up 1,526 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns in 2018, averaging 8.9 yards a clip on his way to another state title for Jackson Prep (their seventh in a row). Ealy also set the record for most rushing yards ever in an Under Armour All-American Game, by running for 116 yards in three quarters.
The most interesting part about Ealy is that he is also projected as the #18 prospect for the MLB Draft. Hey may play both sports at Ole Miss, but could also choose to play baseball and skip out on Oxford altogether. Check out some of the highlights of the electric Jerrion Ealy below:
