As the playoff committee has released their thoughts on the landscape of the college football playoff, so the playoff eliminator rolls on. There are nine teams that still have a possible path to the playoff, while only about six control their own destiny. I left Auburn on this list all season with two losses and it paid off. With a win over Georgia last week, Auburn just has to beat Alabama and Georgia once more in the SEC title game to gain a surprise berth into the field of four. Miami played their way into the committee’s top four and the hearts of America by defeating Notre Dame, requiring just an ACC Championship win for a chance at glory. Ohio State, Georgia, and Notre Dame are all waiting in the shadows for their moment. With just a few weeks left, it could come down to the conference championships.

Washington and TCU both suffered devastating losses that dropped them out of the committee’s top ten. UCF is eliminated for reasons beyond their power. If it were up to me, I’d give UCF a legit chance to make it. Despite what conference they play in, you can’t argue that the Knights are undefeated. With the current format, a group of five team doesn’t have a legitimate chance.

Week 12 Elimination Games: None because this week sucks, but keep and eye on Wisconsin and Notre Dame.

Week 11 Eliminations: Washington, TCU, Central Florida
