Almost a carbon copy of the brawl in Lawrence between the Jayhawks and Wildcats earlier in the year, this post game scuffle had one major difference: zero wielded stools (or at least none that I was aware of)! Prairie View A&M and Jackson State sure knew how to end the night. With Monday Night Raw on, I’m sure these kids were just trying to take the eyes away from the wrestling to whatever this skirmish was at the end of their game on Monday.
Although I didn’t see it in real time, to the best of our knowledge, it appears two players came together after an exchange of words the post game handshake line. Here is the video from the event:
Personally I don’t see anything over-the-top egregious, however, that’s not how everybody’s viewing this. Considering the timing late in the season, too, this could have a major impact on a conference race. Prairie View A&M currently sits atop the SWAC, but with suspensions likely on the horizon, how these teams hold together through the final stretch is something to keep an eye on.
