Week one was a very good for the SEC, going 12-2 with key wins over North Carolina State, Florida State, and Georgia Tech.

Now they are set up for another big week. A lot of teams will be playing their cupcake games, but a few have big matchups that’ll test the conference strength. Every team is in action, but I will highlight the three main matchups for the SEC this upcoming weekend.

Arkansas vs #23 TCU

Last year was a dandy with both teams going back and forth for the entirety of the game. Ultimately, Arkansas was on the winning side of a 41-38 game that went into double overtime. This is a very underrated game since both know how to put up points in bunches. Arkansas will have their first real game, so we will get see if Bielema is able to get passed the departures of his quarterback and wide receivers. Also, there is a chance at redemption for TCU, which did lose on its home turf last year. This game will more than likely be a high-scoring game that will probably be another back and forth affair, coming down to the wire again.

My prediction: TCU 48-41

#15 Georgia vs #24 Notre Dame

This is  match up between two programs that have very overrated teams coming into what seems like every season. Nevertheless, this will be a very interesting game to see. Georgia had a convincing win over Appalachian State, but it came at a cost by losing their young star Jacob Eason. Now, true freshman Jake Fromm will have a tall task by going to play at Notre Dame for his first career start. The Irish are coming off a very disappointing 2016 season, but started the 2017 campaign by demolishing Temple. The team that has the more effective ground game in this one will probably reign supreme, with Josh Adams and Nick Chubb going head to head.

My prediction: Notre Dame 27-17

#13 Auburn vs #3 Clemson

This matchup is probably the second biggest of the weekend, only behind the #5 Oklahoma vs #2 Ohio State. Auburn seemed to get significantly better by adding star quarterback Jarrett Stidham to an offense that is very good on the ground thanks to one of the best running back duos in the country. Add the fact that the defense returned to their former selves when Auburn was a perennial contender and it makes a very scary football team. Clemson, on the other hand is looking to prove that they are in the midst of a dynasty, and have more than enough talent to get back to the College Football Playoffs.

My prediction: Auburn 21-17
