Aaron Torres came on Austin Montgomery live community radio show on Radio Phoenix Tuesday to preview the upcoming Conference Tournaments in Las Vegas and discuss the current state of the NCAA. The interview begins with Austin bringing up Grand Canyon University basketball team and Aaron shares insight on GCU tournament prospects and program growth (0:00-2:55). Austin and Aaron later debate Austin’s hot take that the WAC Tournament is going to be the most interesting tournament in Las Vegas, and is more story worthy than the Pac-12 and Mountain West (3:00-8:00. Aaron then talks about bubble teams ending into conference tournament weekend such as ASU, New Mexico St, UCLA, and Boise St. (8:00-10:00). The interview then takes a dramatic turn as Austin and Aaron discuss the ramifications of the NBA getting rid of the one and done rule 11:00-16:00) Secondly, Austin asks Aaron about the corruption scandal of the NCAA and analyze the modern practices of journalist 16:00-18:00.  Aaron comes on to distinguish facts and narratives, and analyzes how sports journalism community reacted to the story.  The interview ends with Aaron giving his four top contenders in the NCAA championship.
