The overall feeling in the clubhouse is one of optimism following game 3. The offense clicked and Marky DuBois has the pitching spot on lock. Going into the game against the White Sox, the team was hoping to push for a spot at the top of the league.

Game Summary

DuBois locked it down for the first inning and Pablo Sanchez provided the offense with a jolt, slamming a 2 run homer in the bottom of the first. The score remained the same until the Pablo Sanchez once again went yard, just clearing the fence this time, in the third inning.

Marky went the distance on the mound yet again and put on a show. It was a little bit of a risk putting Angela in the field. Luckily she had a couple defensive stops at second base, making it worthwhile. Ronny Dobbs for the White Sox was the star of their team. Not only an extra base hit but he provided multiple defensive stops.

Going into the final inning, the score stayed the same. The Wombats put the ball in play a lot of times, but they only scored off of Pablo’s home runs.

What the Wombats were not expecting was a crazy bunt power-up. After two singles, Ronnie Dobbs took DuBois yard and the Wombats led by one run.

But DuBois would not be denied. Look at the absolute swagger on the mound! Claudia did not stand a chance with that tilt on the mound. After back-to-back groundouts, the game finished up with out any more problems.

Nearly halfway through the season, the Wombats sit at 3-1. Pablo Sanchez is fast approaching the Triple Crown throne. 3rd in batting averaging and leading the league in home runs and RBIs. Although the runs did not develop in this game, the offense was swinging the bats really well.

Game 5 takes us on the road against the Minnesota Twins. All signs point to Marky DuBois taking the mound, seeking his 3rd consecutive win.
