SMH (Shake my head)

As many of you know, LiAngelo Ball, the middle brother, the long-lost child, the red-headed step child, was arrested for shoplifting in China. Teammates Jalen Hill and Cody Reilly were also arrested, and the normal charges for shoplifting in China is 3-10 years in prison.

There are so many things that I could say about this situation.

Reactions

First: I understand why he did it. Does anyone know anything about this kid? His older brother has been compared to the new Magic, and nearly registered a triple double in the league. His youngest brother is supposed to be the best of all 3, chucks up random shots, and somehow gets buckets. He needed to get in the news somehow, so why not just steal something in a country where bail is easily payable?

Second: What could you have possibly been shoplifting? You’re a Big Baller. Act like it. Just because you aren’t the most notable child of LaVar’s, doesn’t give you the right to taint the Ball family name.

Third: Why were there three idiots thinking this would be a good idea? Aren’t you guys already getting paid to play basketball?? Oh right, that hasn’t happened yet either. These are college kids, GRINDING FOR EVERY PENNY. So this is basically an issue with the NCAA not paying players for performance.

Fourth: Georgia Tech’s team escaped a real disaster here. There had to have been some kid from Georgia Tech wanting to take some Chinese product (Which all come to the U.S. anyways), and got away with it. Georgia Tech doesn’t have the depth to lose players, whereas UCLA could lose about 6 irrelevant players, and still contend in the Pac-12. The ACC, whole different story.

Fifth: There is no way that these kids spend a second in jail. BREAKING NEWS: MY INSIDE SOURCE SAYS THAT LIANGELO IS ON A PLANE BACK TO THE STATES AS I WRITE THIS!!! The Ball Family, UCLA, the United States Government; all would have paid the bail for these athletes before they stepped foot in a cell.
