What this means for UCF?

Wimbush will most likely compete with sophomore QB Darriel Mack Jr. Mack took over for injured star QB Mackenzie Milton and threw for 619 yards and 3 TDs over a 3-game span, while also adding in 337 yards and 6 TDs rushing. Wimbush has a career stat line of 2,606 yards and 20 TDs to go along with 12 interceptions. He also had 1,152 yards rushing with 16 TDs.

These two will probably compete for the starting job with star Mackenzie Milton out indefinitely with a gruesome leg injury.

What this means for Notre Dame?

Notre Dame loses a very capable backup QB in Brandon Wimbush, but won’t impact their starting lineup as they have junior Ian Book to man the QB spot.
