After weeks of deliberation, Deshaun Watson has finally been handed down his punishment for the 2022 season. The 26 year-old Cleveland Browns quarterback was issued a 6 game suspension stemming from his 20+ sexual assault allegations. ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported on the suspension. He also added that Watson will not be fined. Disciplinary officer Sue L. Robinson was the individual who ruled on Watsons suspension earlier today.

With Watson now sidelined for the first six games of the season, Cleveland has to look into their abysmal QB room. Their options are Joshua Dobbs, who has played in six career games, and Jacoby Brissett, who has bounced around the league and played in 60 games. Cleveland’s other option is former tenth overall selection Josh Rosen. Options are scarce. Watson is set to return Week 7 against the Baltimore Ravens on October 23rd.
