Pour some out for the first half of the college basketball season. Now that football season is over, America turns it’s eyes to the hardwood to fill the void left in their schedule. So far this year we’ve seen upsets, buzzer beaters and Grayson Allen trip a bunch of people.

Here at Student Union, we’re big on three things: Lane Kiffin, Busch Light and giving out awards. Since Joey Freshwater could not be reached for comment on the current state of college basketball, we thought we’d settle for the next best thing and hand out some mid-season awards. We asked our contributors to vote for the best performances of the first half of the season, and this is what we came up with.
