Donovan Edwards, the West Bloomfield, Michigan product and number four ranked running back in the class of 2021 according to 247Sports composite ranking, decides to stay home. He has chosen to commit to the University of Michigan over the other six schools on his list. Those other schools were Alabama, Notre Dame, Georgia, LSU, Penn State, and Oklahoma.

Michigan was in the lead coming in according to both 247 and Rivals, and the Wolverines get a huge addition to their team, even among uncertainty with the coaching staff.

Edwards, the four-star running back, is in the running for Michigan High School’s Mr. Football along with receiving All-Region honors, and likely All-State. Edwards’ final game this season ended with him scoring six touchdowns in the district round of the playoffs.

This is a huge win for a Michigan team that has been struggling of late. Look for Edwards to have a huge impact in the coming years.
