Holy shit folks. I’m absolutely dumbfounded. Elation, shock, happiness. Ethan Happ just ended the game against Northwestern with 13 points, 12 boards, and 11 assists which accounts for his 2nd triple-double this season. The first came against Coppin State in the first game of the season when he had 10, 11, and 12.

Now it’s time to pretend I’m Andy King and need water. With the triple-double today, Happ becomes 1 of now 5 power conference players since the 2009-2010 season with at least 2 triple doubles in a season. Joining the list of Dennis Smith Jr., Denzel Valentine, Draymond Green, and Evan Turner. Everyone except for Smith Jr. had a storied Big 10 career and they aren’t on the list of Big 10 players that Happ will soon join with 94 more points and add to his incredible career resume. The list I’m referring to is the list of Big 10 players with 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds.

I encourage everyone to go to his bio on the Badger website and read all his accolades. The best part? It requires updating. It doesn’t mention how he is the 4th Badger in program history to be a pre-season All-American! Ethan Happ will be the most decorated Badger ever and shall now be referred to as Mr. Triple-Double. He owns 2/3 in school history and that’s just one of the school records he’ll acrue before his departure. Congrats Ethan, and more importantly… Thank You.
