Louisville vs. UCF (6:30 PM at The Bounce House)

What the hell is wrong with Louisville?! Only 7 points against Syracuse?! Malik Cunningham throwing 2 INTs and ZERO TDs?! They have forgotten how to score on offense! Fire Scott Satterfield!

In the wise words of the Ayahuasca hitting HOF QB Aaron Rodgers: “R-E-L-A-X………Relaxxxxxx.” If Week 1 has proven anything, it is to expect the unexpected. Nothing is as it seems because we have absolutely NO current information to use. Also, I think everybody has severely underestimated the Orange and have forgotten how hard it is to play in The Carri….nope, sorry, the JMA Wireless Dome. Syracuse bringing in former Virginia OC Robert Anae has made the Orange look like a contender in the ACC.

Louisville gets to shake off the cobwebs and get back into gear this Friday night in The Bounce House against Central Florida. This game has a lot of pent-up anger since the Golden Knights will look to avenge their 42-35 loss last season at Cardinal Stadium. Dillon Gabriel also suffered a broken collarbone toward the end of the game, which resulted in a severe downward trajectory of their season and his transfer to Oklahoma. UCF HC Gus Malzahn has mentioned that he knows Louisville’s performance last week isn’t indicative on how they can perform, and the Knights will not take them lightly.

Which leads me to this contest Friday night. I firmly believe The Cardinals will do a complete 180 from their Week 1 performance and show up to perform and execute. The Golden Knights remember how this game last season impacted their team and are looking for major revenge this weekend. The only way that Louisville will be able to keep up with this Malzahn offensive attack is to score. Expect Scott Satterfield to work out the kinks in practice and focus on what made them successful last season. Last season’s heartbreaking loss tells me that, if given the chance, Gus might take the opportunity to twist the knife.

UCF Senior QB John Rhys Plumlee looked every bit as advertised last week throwing 4 TDs. Malik Cunningham has no choice but to keep pace and use his feet to create offense. These 2 teams were made to score and that is what I believe we see Friday night. Expect the scoreboard to short out due to excessive points and some great action under the Friday Night Lights!
