Big news in the world of Is It Saturday Yet? and college football. Friend of the show and former Ohio Bobcats quarterback Kurtis Rourke has found a home for the 2024 season. Rourke, the brother of Jaguars backup Nathan Rourke, battled injuries this season, but still put up solid numbers. In 11 games, he passed for 2,207 yards, 11 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. In addition, Rourke rushed for 219 yards on 67 carries and 4 touchdowns. Following the regular season ending, Rourke, much like many other quarterbacks, entered the transfer portal.

Rourke entered the portal on December 5th and picked up a handful of offers quickly. A few schools that jumped to offer the 6’5 gunslinger were Wake Forest, BYU, and Vanderbilt. On December 8th, two days after Vanderbilt offered him, Indiana gave Rourke an offer. It didn’t take a lot of time for Rourke to decided as he committed six days later on December 14th around 4:00PM.

In his final year of eligibility, Rourke is teaming up with former James Madison head coach Curt Cignetti. Cignetti went 11-1 with the Dukes this past season and has guaranteed that Indiana will be playing for a BIG 10 title in 2024. As a fan of Kurtis Rourke, I’m hoping that he’ll be the man to lead the Hoosiers to their first BIG 10 title game appearance since ever.
