After watching Murray perform the way he did in week 1, I figured it was only a matter of time before he would end up as my Video Game Player of the Week. And it did not take long at all as he has been chosen for week 2.

This Saturday Kyler Murray scored 5 total touchdowns (3 passing, 2 rushing) and racked up 375 total yards of offense in Oklahoma’s 49-21 victory over UCLA. It appears Oklahoma is not missing Heisman winner Baker Mayfield at all. Many people wondered how the predecessor to such a decorative quarterback would perform. Well Kyler has been an exceptional replacement thus far for the Sooners. Perhaps he can take them to a playoff win, something Baker could not do.

It’s also important to note that this is Murray’s second straight game scoring 5 touchdowns. Hot take here, but, is it too early to say………. Heisman?

Maybe. Maybe not. Only time will tell. However, I would not be surprised at all if Murray ends up being a Video Game POW again sometime during the year.
