This week QB Joe Burrow from Ohio State announced on twitter that he will be leaving the program.

It was long speculated that Burrow would leave as he is a 5th year senior and is also expected to currently be trailing Dwayne Haskins in the race to replace All-Big Ten QB JT Barrett. There are a few places rumored to be in consideration for Burrow. One is Big Ten conference foe Nebraska with new head coach Scott Frost. Another is Florida, former home of Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer, where Burrow could pair with former Ohio State wideout Trevon Grimes. Lastly, Ohio University seems to be in the mix as Burrow is from Athens, and also his dad, Jimmy, is the defensive coordinator for the Bobcats. As Burrow already graduated, he can start immediately.

*Burrow has only been contracted by LSU and Cincinnati at this point.*

This transfer will lead to an even thinner QB room for the Buckeyes. With sophomore Dwayne Haskins, who looked fantastic filling in for JT last year, including leading the Buckeyes to a come from behind victory over the arch-rival Michigan Wolverines. Joining him in the QB room is freshman phenom Tate Martell. While it currently seems as though Haskins is leading, Tate did tremendous in spring practice and is looking to make a run at the starting job. Regardless of who ends up starting, the Buckeyes look to be in a great place with either under center, and there will almost assuredly be packages for both of them to get involved.
