Are you new to gambling? A veteran? A numbers nerd or always trusting your gut? No matter who you are, you’re looking for a bet to cash tonight. I have that bet for you.

Yesterday was just a bad pick. Sometimes you see the stars align and the stars throw a middle finger right back in your face. That was the case last night. We will take our lumps and move forward. With the back-to-back losses we are now under .500.

Record: 2-3, -0.69 (These are always responsible, one-unit bets)

Background

With a dry sports slate, we head back to the NBA to find some value. If you’re going to force me, I’ll say it: I think I found a good one. Personally, a thing I struggle with in sports betting is the pricing. I understand the price can be translated into a percent chance the wager would happen, but when you start talking about an appropriate price, I start to get a little lost. No matter, we do the research and look for a mistake on the number of the bet provided instead.

The Bet: Nets Team Total Under 114.5 (-120)

Now you understand what I mean by the pricing. Regardless, I love the number we are given. Through 3 games the Nets are averaging 113.7 points per game. I understand that might not feel comforting, but in those 3 games the Nets have played one team in the top 15 of defensive rating the Raptors (currently 11th) and the Nets could only muster 109 points. For the Bucks, they’ve only played two games. However, they gave up only 88 to the 76ers and 105 to the Rockets. The Bucks are the only team to not give up over 100 points per game. Their defensive rating is also under 100, making them the best defensive team in the NBA so far. Look for Giannis and Co. to shut down Durant and Kyrie or keep them in check tonight.
