In a game where Purdue never had the lead, it always felt like Purdue was within striking distance. That being said, Ohio State really pulled away towards the end of the game, specifically after Kyle Young made a couple of free throws to extend the lead to 15 (45-30.) From there on the Buckeyes never looked back.

Thankfully for the Buckeyes, Kyle Young had a field day. Young scored a career-high 16 points for Ohio State. Coach Matt Painter was questioned so much about Young in his post-game conference here is a clip that I recorded after the game. (Put video here please)

This game helps but also hurts the Buckeyes. It is a quad 1 win at the moment, but Purdue will most likely drop out of the top 30 of the net as they currently sit 29th. Now as it stands, the Buckeyes will most likely make the tournament as a 7 seed or higher. There is still a lot of work to be done though, as there are still some wins out there that could help them out.

Both teams have tough tests for the rest of the way. However, it seems like at this point the regular-season title is between Maryland and Penn State. These teams still have a lot to play for in terms of Big Ten Tournament seeding. It is going to be a very fun final stretch for these teams.
