Holy cow, there was a lot to unpack after this weekend. Ohio State got slaughtered, Penn State dropped another, and maybe Miami is for real? At this point, college football is starting to lose its mind and remind us why we all love this sport. While I think Penn State is eliminated from the playoff discussion because of their loss this weekend, I’m going to leave Ohio State in the conversation (for now) due to the fact that they could still win the conference championship, even if they would need a lot of help to get back into it.

Oklahoma eliminated the Oklahoma State Cowboys by edging them out in Stillwater, leaving only TCU and Oklahoma eligible for the playoff, with an elimination game to ensue between them this weekend. Miami knocked out ACC rival Virginia Tech, almost guaranteeing their date against Clemson in the ACC championship game, but to remain in the playoff conversation, they must first get past the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
