After what I referred to as a turning point for Purdue football last week, they’re back on their bullsh*t. Not only did they have the ability to possibly win a huge game, it very well could have changed people’s opinions on the program.

There were plenty of missed tackles in both halves. The biggest problem was that Purdue looked completely lost on offense without Sindelar in the backfield. They are also missing a run game which showed in their game tonight against TCU where they only had 75 on the night. For the game the Boilers only mustered 204 total yards of offense

Jack Plummer looked like he was on his way to at least helping the team compete in the game, instead he looked completely rattled as any freshman quarterback getting their first start in a primetime game. You can’t just look at the offense though. TCU ran for 346 yards total, which is completely unacceptable against any opponent.

Purdue’s next game is the September 28th at home versus Minnesota. They have a bye week coming up, so we can only imagine they’ll be focused on correcting the issue that plagued them against Texas Christian.

Minnesota is in a similar state as the Boilermakers; They’re both programs with good history, tough conference opponents, coaches on the up and up, but they haven’t reached that consistent level of success. When you look at Purdue, you see a team that SHOULD win these games with similar and inferior opponents. However, it’s less and less of a guarantee these days.
