“We’re a blog of many talents, but ranking the top 25 college basketball teams isn’t necessarily one of them.” – Me, Patrick Norton, four weeks ago.

Conference tournaments begin this week, so we’re getting dangerously close to our final SU25 until football season. Only twenty-seven teams received votes for our top 25, so what happened that caused a shift in our rankings from last week? For starters, Kansas smashed Oklahoma, edged out Texas Tech and clinched at least a share of the Big 12 title. Trae Young screamed “I’m back!” just before Oklahoma’s first win in the month of February. Our #1 from last week, Villanova, fell at the hands of Creighton and news broke that Sean Miller has most likely coached his final game in college basketball.

After compiling the rankings of various Student Union contributors, here’s where we stand with the top 25:

  1. Virginia
  2. Michigan State
  3. Villanova
  4. Xavier
  5. Duke
