After five weeks of play, we’re getting closer and closer to the halfway mark of the season. Seems like every week there are a couple of teams who come out of no where to jump in the top 25, only to fall out due to a unexpected loss the next week. Rankings are reactionary, especially ones from college kids. Last week it was BYU who jumped into the SU25, only to get dominated by Washington and not receive a single vote this week. In the AP Top 25, the same thing has happened this year with teams like Cal and Arizona State. There is a very good chance this happens again in week six, as Florida jumps into the rankings at #25, only to play #5 LSU. NC State, Colorado, and USF do all face a chance of losing. There is a pretty likely shot that our rankings get pretty messed up this weekend.
