We have a interesting matchup when Ball State walks into Bowling Green in this MACTION game. Ball State’s offense is led by running back Marquez Cooper who has rushed for 584 rushing yards on 4.8 yards per carry. Cooper had big shoes to fill with replacing Carson Steele. However, I think he has done an okay job at that role. The Cardinals average 16.1 points per game and 135 rushing yards per game. This offense has struggled this season with consistency and it is a big reason why they are 2-6 on the season. Defensively, the Cardinals have given up 29 points per game and and allow 236.9 passing yards per game as well. Ball State will need to keep Bowling Green under 20 points if they want a shot at winning this game. The Cardinals are 2-1 in games when they hold opponents to under that number. Look for that to be a big number that Ball State looks to hold Bowling Green under.
Bowling Green’s offense is led by running back Terion Stewart who has rushed for 670 rushing yards to go along with 6.1 yards per carry and 7 touchdowns on the season. The Falcons average 22.3 points per game and average 148.1 rushing yards per game. Their offense has not been great overall, but their rushing attack can get the job done. Defensively, the Falcons allow under 200 passing yards per game and allow 25 points per game. I think the Falcons defense is the x-factor in this one. Bowling Green is going to give the Cardinals offense a run for their money in this matchup.
