As many of you have heard by now, we had a tragedy occur this weekend. The Humboldt Broncos were a  Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League and heading to a semifinal series when their team bus was struck by a semi-truck. 16 people have died and 13 were injured. When the sports world woke up to this news, everyone rallied around this Saskatchewan Hockey team and mourn young athletes, coaches, family, and friends.

In the 14-15 year’s I have been watching sports and been in the sports world, never have I seen a community rally around a team like the people did for Humboldt:

So, after seeing how, and excuse my french, F***ing awesome the sports world is, I’m making this article dedicated to why Sport’s fan are the best thing in sports. I will include some of my favorite college sport’s moments with fans involved and add in 3 Professional Sports moments that are just as badass. Enjoy.

FSU: Tomahawk Chop

As much as I despise FSU (@ you Sam), they truly do have some of the best fans in the college scene. From the highs with Famous Jameis to the lows of… well the 2017 season, they stick through it and will be loyal as a dog to its owner. (Or the opposite of Tristan Thompson to Khloe…SHEESH)

Penn State: Sweet Caroline

Sweet Caroline is a Top 3 song to sing at a sporting event, followed by the “I Believe That We Will Win” Chant and the National Anthem, so bravo Penn State.

Maryland: Flash Mob

I dream that one day, I find someone as loyal to me as the Students are to Maryland Basketball. They do flash mobs every year and they are very fun to watch. Go Terps.

LSU: Neck (NSFW)

First time I heard this from LSU, I was honestly shocked. But boy oh boy would it get in my head if I was in Death Valley. Stay Classy LSU.

Bonuses: Boston Bruins National Anthem

Shortly after the Boston Marathon Bombing, the city of Boston was mourning. Sports would be one of those things to help heal the city back to normal, and this video will bring me goosebumps and all of the feels every time.

Phillies/MLB USA Chants

MLB: Boston Marathon

There’s nothing more I can say. While the 12th man can be a nuisance some times, they are some of the best people you will ever meet. What other event can you get 90,000+ people to come together for moments of silence, cheering, chant’s, and all around emotion with no problems what so ever. So, thank you Sports Fan all around the world, for being the best damn people in this cruel and confusing world.
