Hockey season is winding down making every weekend absolutely crucial. The Big Ten is going to come right down to the wire and it’s gonna be a wild ride.

Wisconsin @ Michigan State

The Spartans claimed a 4-1 victory Friday night before falling in OT on Saturday.

Michigan @ Minnesota

The Wolverines and Gophers split their weekend series.

Notre Dame @ Ohio State

This was the biggest matchup of the weekend in the Big Ten and Ohio State was up to the task. The Buckeyes swept the Irish.

Looking Ahead

Minnesota @ Penn State

Penn State’s season is coming off the rails. A sweep for Minnesota puts them in a great spot to hold down that #2 spot in the big ten.

Ohio State @ Wisconsin

This should be two more wins for the Buckeyes. They’re playing great hockey right now and can put themselves in the argument to be a top seed heading into the NCAA tournament. They’re not only the best team in the Big Ten, they’re one of the best teams in the nation.

Michigan State @ Michigan

A sweep either way would be disastrous for the loser and pure elation for the winner. This is the biggest series in the conference this weekend. Both teams absolutely need this.
