Matthew Baldwin

Matthew Baldwin, the former Ohio State redshirt freshman QB will be joining the Horned Frogs in the fall. Baldwin initially announced that he would leave Columbus with this tweet back in April:

Baldwin will reportedly apply for a waiver to play right away, but there’s no guarantee he would be the starter. TCU already has former 5-star Justin Rogers, 4-star freshman Max Duggan, Kansas State grad-transfer Alex Delton and senior Michael Collins.

While Rogers is the favorite to start in the fall, Baldwin does bring an “elite arm” that could add a new dimension to their passing game. Matthew Baldwin impressed in his lone season starting at Lake Travis, throwing for 44 touchdowns and nearly 4000 yards. His talent, especially throwing the ball downfield, is clear in his senior highlights:

Meanwhile in Columbus, Ohio State has already been heavily involved the QB transfer market this offseason. Justin Fields came from Georgia, Gunner Hoak came from Kentucky and Tate Martell left for Miami.
